When it comes to acquiring supreme industry knowledge, Hardy Bros’ believes that nothing is more valuable than experience. Hardy Bros owners and Directors Robert and Danny Hardy both possess some 40 years experience in the earthmoving, construction and mining industry.
These Hardy brothers have dedicated their lives to ensuring the success of the company, utilising their expertise and experience to ensure Hardy Bros continues to move from strength to strength.
Our Management Team
Hardy Bros’ success and reputation for excellence is a direct result of the leadership, experience and diverse qualifications of its Management team.
To ensure the experience of the Management team is maximised, Hardy Bros has adopted a flat organisational structure. Such an organisational structure guarantees the Hardy Bros Management responds dynamically and efficiently to the ever changing needs of its client base and of the industry more generally.
Coupled with his plant operating background, the Company’s General
Manager, Brad Hardy has had extensive experience in the Health,
Safety, Environmental and Quality management aspects of the
organisation, and is currently undertaking a Masters in Business
Administration. Brad is also conversant with engineering principles
and surveying techniques, spending a large portion of his career
conducting and managing the Company’s survey needs, from setting
out works, to conformance and As Constructed surveying.
Brad has a very proactive and hands on management style that sees
regular interaction with projects and with his easy and approachable
management style has earned the respect of not only his team, but
several of our regular clients.
Matt Hardy has been involved with the Company since he was 15
years old. Starting out as a trainee plant operator, Matt has
progressively worked his way to becoming the Company’s Operations
Manager, applying the years of knowledge and experience to achieve
practical and cost effective solutions for our Clients.
Matt also has a strong mechanical and production oriented
background, which allows him to better manage the Company's fleet
requirements, and is often found at projects assisting with trouble
shooting of technical issues with our Clients and Site Managers.
Hardy Bros’ Business Manager, Luke Talbot has a solid background and experience in Financial Services, Banking and Operations. He also possesses a vast knowledge and capabilities in people and team management. Luke has managed all facets of customer service and business operational requirements and continues to analyze the business needs and presenting solutions tailored to our requirements whilst highlighting opportunities available. Luke is also heavily involved in analysis of new and existing business operations, projects and investments.
Luke’s specialises in government liaison, asset management, account management, budgeting, business development, concept development, contract management, finance, leadership, legal, management, process engineering, proposal writing, safety, staff management and strategic planning.
The Company’s Systems Manager, Katrina Galvin brings to Hardy Bros 3 years of experience in Safety, Environmental and Quality management. Katrina joined the Hardy Bros team as a new graduate after completing a Bachelors Degree in Business Management & Marketing. Leading the Systems function within the company, Katrina drives the continual improvement of the company’s HSEQ performance to achieve legal compliance and competitive advantage. She holds several other tertiary qualifications such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Auditing and Incident Investigation.
The Company’s Operations & Maintenance Manager, Todd Shaw brings to Hardy Bros 24 years of maintenance experience within the mining industry. During this time Todd has managed teams of maintenance personnel to ensure the effective management and maintenance of plant to meet company needs. Todd is a qualified Plant Mechanic who has worked in and around corporate mining companies such as Rio Tinto, Xstrata, BHP, Anglo American and Peabody.

Hardy Bros takes pride in the broad skill base of their workforce, which encompasses supervisors trained in Certificate IV Frontline Management, operators with Certificate III qualifications in both Surface Coal Mining and Civil Constructions, and trade qualified maintenance personnel.
All Hardy Bros employees are provided the opportunity to engage in ongoing professional development and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Currently 15 trainees and apprentices are employed in a range of fields.
